Shots fired incident under investigation in Felton

FELTON, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a shots fired complaint that happened late Thursday night.

At around 10:30 p.m., troopers responded to the area of Cattle Drive for a report of shots being fired. It was discovered that the front glass screen door to a residence had been shattered, and the homeowner reported that he had been sleeping and was unaware of the incident. Further investigation revealed that the front exterior door of the residence as well as a bedroom window had been hit by a bullet.

The 72-year-old male resident and sole occupant at the time of the incident was not injured.
