Seaford community honors graduating high school seniors with parade

SEAFORD, Del. – In Delaware, high school seniors at the Seaford School District got a special celebration on Saturday held by teachers and city leaders.

On Saturday, the community hosted a parade for the class of 2020.

The parade, which took place near Seaford Senior High School, gave people a chance to drive by signs each one with a picture of a senior. The parade was led by the Seaford Police Department and the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department.

Organizers say they wanted to lift the spirits of high school seniors.

They say these signs will be outside until tomorrow at noon when the families pick them up.

Organizers tell 47ABC the event was a huge success and they’re thinking about making it an annual tradition.
