Salisbury Zoo officials announce passing of cotton-top tamarin

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury Zoo has announced the passing of their 17-year-old male cotton-top tamarin, “Wilson”.

We’re told he was found by Zookeepers on Tuesday afternoon. He was born on September 2, 2002, and was acquired by the zoo on September 15, 2018, from the Jacksonville Zoo.

The average life span of a cotton-top tamarin is between 13 and 24 years.
