POLICE: Inmate sneaks heroin into detention center

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – Police say a 20-year-old inmate is charged with possession after sneaking heroin into a detention center.

On May 7th, a deputy with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Wicomico Detention Center after an employee allegedly found inmate Devyonn Evans with heroin.

Investigators say Evans brought the substance into the facility by hiding it in a bodily orifice.

Evans was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and will remain at the Detention Center.
