Pizza delivery driver shot during robbery, police say

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating a robbery that left a pizza delivery driver with a gunshot wound to the arm Sunday night.

According to police, at around 10 p.m., a 23-year-old male delivery driver made a delivery to a building at Woodmill Apartments at 1300 S. Farmview Drive. As the driver was leaving, he was allegedly approached by two male suspects who demanded money. When the driver advised that he did not have any money, the suspects then demanded his car keys, which the driver also refused. One of the suspects then fired one shot, hitting the driver in the arm, before both suspects fled on foot.

The victim drove himself to a local hospital where he was treated for his injury and released.
