PAWS For People goes virtual
47ABC – A local pet therapy organization has found new ways to help out others during the coronavirus pandemic.
PAWS for People, which serves all of Delaware, has gone virtual.
The organization is having their team members send pictures and videos of their therapy animals to people they would normally visit in person. They’re also doing virtual story times for kids on both Facebook and Zoom.
April 30th was National Pet Therapy Day, so 47ABC chose that day to recognize all the therapeutic services PAWS For People is still offering during the coronavirus pandemic.
Lynne Robinson, the Founder of Paws For People said, “To have recognition that there is a day in the country that people are brought to understand and to recognize the value of pet therapy, I think its marvelous. It’s a really important thing and its so easy.”
