Ocean City Sons and Daughters of Italy helping support area businesses
OCEAN CITY, Md. – One Ocean City organization is still doing what it can to support local businesses after one of its main fundraising events had to be postponed.
The Ocean City Sons and Daughters of Italy was planning to hold it’s annual Italian Festival in March. Organizers say more than 1-thousand people attend and countless businesses had already paid money to advertise in the event pamphlets. But since the event is postponed, those businesses won’t be able to benefit from those advertisements. So Ocean City Sons and Daughters of Italy is now promoting those businesses to the community by circulating a master list of places customers can support.
“We wanted to make it our business to patronize them as much as possible and return to the community, the generosity they’ve given to use over the years,” says Vinnie Mollicone, the President of Ocean City Sons and Daughters of Italy.
The more than 130 businesses are in both Maryland and Delaware as far north as Rehoboth Beach. They include restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, liquor stores and more.
