Nice Farms Creamery getting back on track as businesses are starting to open back up in Maryland
FEDERALSBURG, Md.- With restaurants beginning to reopen in Maryland, a local dairy farm said business for them is beginning to look up.
The owner of Nice Farms Creamery, Bob Miller, said by businesses being able to open back up again for things like outdoor dining it will help them get back to where they were economically pre- COVID-19.
The creamery has been doing home dairy deliveries during the pandemic to get by.
But Miller said now that places like Rise Up Coffee are back open, it will help to keep their volume of products flowing allowing them to scale back on those deliveries.
“Now that things are coming back online, it’s taking a lot of pressure off of us, you know we can scale back from some of these emergency delivery routes that we were doing,” Miller said.
The owner told me that they are currently just doing one route for delivery, and they hope that people will continue to support them at local farmers markets in the future.
