Md. florist teams up with local restaurants to offer Mother’s Day take-out specials

47 ABC  – A local florist is partnering with two restaurants to offer a unique Mother’s Day brunch deal this weekend.

If you get takeout from One Coastal in Fenwick Island or Iron Horse in Willards this weekend, you’ll also get an organic flower bouquet from Masterpiece Flower Farm in Whaleyville. The owner of Masterpiece Flower Farm tells 47 ABC that she’s seen a renewed interest from her customers in supporting local businesses so she’s happy to team up with other entrepreneurs in order to offer another way to celebrate a holiday that’s typically spent doing things like eating good food and sending flowers to moms.

“I think it’s a really interesting time to be able to do that partnership. For us to be able to put them all in one place and kind of limit how much people have to go out and about and make that trip to go somewhere with us partnering together,” says Crystal Giesey, the owner of Masterpiece Flower Farm.

Giesey says she’s seen an almost five-hundred percent increase in business over the last couple of months. She says many people are turning to local farms for flowers because of delays importing them during the pandemic.

The restaurants require you to preorder your Mother’s Day takeout meals.
