Gov. Ralph Northam orders masks to be worn in public starting May 29th

RICHMOND, Va. – Governor Ralph Northam announced on Monday that he is ordering that Virginians to wear masks in public indoor spaces beginning this Friday, May 29th.

Northam says the measure is needed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Masks will have to be worn inside all retail stores, while using public transportation, and in any other indoor places where people congregate.

We’re told that this mask order will be largely voluntary, as the governor said he is not going to allow any criminal prosecutions of anyone not complying.
