Gov. Hogan announces new drive-thru testing sites at CVS locations across Maryland
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Governor Larry Hogan and CVS Health announced on Thursday that 17 new COVID-19 test sites will be opening at CVS Pharmacy drive-thru locations across the state.
One of the testing centers will be on the Eastern Shore, at the CVS Pharmacy location at 12001 Coastal Highway in Ocean City.
These sites will utilize self-swab tests and will be available to individuals meeting CDC criteria, as well as age guidelines. Those interested must register in advance online beginning this Friday, May 22nd. Patients will be required to stay in their cars and should pull up to the pharmacy drive-thru window, where they will be provided with a test kit and given instructions. A CVS Pharmacy employee will observe the self-swab process to ensure it is done properly. Tests will then be sent to an independent lab for processing, with results available in approximately three days.
Testing will not take place inside any retail locations, and these locations will continue to serve customers and patients.
