Downtown Dover Partnership seeks donations to help support small businesses
DOVER, Del. – In Kent County, the nonprofit Downtown Dover Partnership is doing all it can to help support local businesses during this difficult time, but they need your help.
The organization is asking for donations to help downtown businesses safely reopen in the future.
They’re working on keeping a reserve fund to help provide businesses with masks, gowns or whatever they may need to reopen.
The team is also partnering with a local sign shop to provide decals for doors and windows that will help keep people informed about the latest safety guidelines and more.
“We want to keep a reserve because we know that there’s going to be other needs for all the businesses that need to have entry signage and masks or shields, so we want to have reserve,” said Tina Bradbury, economic development and operations manager at Downtown Dover Partnership.
We’re told the Downtown Dover Partnership is also working on providing 1,000 dollar grants to several area businesses.
