Dewey Beach now open for dog walking and exercise

DEWEY BEACH, Del. – Officials say the beach in Dewey has reopened for dog walking and exercise with proper social distancing, per the Commissioner meeting on May 8th.

We’re told that paid parking will go into effect on May 15th, and will be required from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. with the exception of Monday to Wednesday nights, which is free from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Parking rates have increased to keep up with infrastructure improvements, however property owners can still get up to two seasonal parking passes at the $150 seasonal rate, with additional passes at $200.

Seasonal passes can be purchased by calling Town Hall at 302-227-6363. Those who are looking for a few hours or a daily pass can download the ParkMobile app.
