Del. State Police and Municipal K-9 teams receive National Certification
DELAWARE – Delaware State Police and Municipal K-9 teams throughout the state recently received National Certification by the National Police Canine Association.
During the week of May 11th, a total of 22 K-9 teams completed the Patrol and Explosive Certifications through the National Police Canine Association. We’re told the teams consisted of 14 Delaware State Police K-9 teams and 8 municipal K-9 teams from the Capitol Police Department, Department of Natural Resources Police, Laurel Police Department, Delaware Department of Corrections, and the University of Delaware Police Department.
The following week, 26 K-9 teams completed the Patrol and Narcotics Certifications through the National Police Canine Association. We’re told the teams consisted of 18 DSP K-9 teams and 8 municipal K-9 teams from the Dover Police Department, Newark Police Department, Bridgeville Police Department, Laurel Police Department, Ocean View Police Department, Department of Natural Resources Police, Blades Police Department, and the Harrington Police Department.
