Del. state fire marshals investigating two separate arson incidents in Frankford

FRANKFORD, Del. – The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal says they are investigating two structure fires that damaged separate dwellings in the Frankford area.

The first incident was reported shortly after 4:30 a.m. Sunday, at an unoccupied dwelling in the 34000 block of Evans Road. The Roxana Volunteer Fire Company responded and found heavy flames coming from the structure. Damage was estimated at $35,000.

The second incident was reported shortly after 2:30 a.m. Monday, at an unoccupied structure in the 31000 block of Gum Road. The Frankford Volunteer Fire Company responded to the blaze. Damage was estimated at $60,000.

Investigators were called to both scenes, and through investigation determined that both fires were intentionally started.
