Del. officials reporting 407 new cases, 6 new COVID-19 related deaths
SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health says there are just over 400 new cases of coronavirus in the state.
Additionally, six more people have died from the virus, bringing the statewide total to 193. We’re told the most recent deaths involved individuals between the ages of 69 and 96, and five of the six had underlying health conditions. Three were Sussex County residents, two were New Castle residents, and one was a Kent County resident.
The state now has a total of 5,778 cases, with 2,764 in Sussex County, 891 in Kent, and 2,087 in New Castle. 299 individuals are currently hospitalized, 65 of whom are critically ill.
A total of 2,008 Delawareans have made a full recovery from the virus.
