Del. courts to remain closed through June 13th

DOVER, Del. – Officials announced on Thursday that the closure of Delaware courts has been extended to June 13th.

This is the second 30-day extension of the March 16th Judicial Emergency Order.

The extension means that court facilities will remain closed to the public until at least June 13th, or until the order declaring a judicial emergency is modified or lifted.

The Delaware Judiciary is working on detailed plans to gradually increase activities at judicial facilities. Officials say they are working on a plan for a gradual and safe increase in activities at all judicial facilities. The Committee hopes to have a final report and recommendation in May, with a possible “first phase” limited increase in judicial facility activity in June.
