Bethany to reopen beach and boardwalk on May 15th

BETHANY BEACH, Del. – Bethany Beach Town officials say they’re reopening their beach and boardwalk for walking and exercise starting May 15th.

Officials say they’re following Rehoboth’s decision to shift from complete closure to limited beach access.

For clarification, the Governor’s order closing state beaches is still in effect, but the town is allowing exercise on the beach and boardwalk, under the municipal discretion in the Governor’s Order.

Bethany Beach town officials remind Delawareans that dog walking on their beach and boardwalk is prohibited from May 15th to September 30th.
