Berlin town offices to begin partial reopening, recycling collection to resume June 1st
BERLIN, Md. – Berlin Mayor Gee Williams says that with the partial lifting of the State of Emergency, Berlin public offices will begin a partial reopening to the public beginning on Tuesday, May 26th.
Town Hall, the Planning Department, and the Berlin Welcome Center will be open for regular business hours with restrictions beginning on the 26th. The number of people who can be inside at one time will be limited, and all visitors must wear face coverings while in these buildings.
In addition, signs will be posted asking visitors to consider their overall health before entering. Town personnel will also wear face masks while interacting with the public.
Those visiting Town Hall will have to enter via the parking lot entrance off of Bay Street. The William Street entrance will be closed until further notice.
The Town will also resume regular recycling collection beginning on Monday, June 1st. At this time, Stephen Decatur and Henry Parks will remain closed, as well as all public restrooms.
