BayRunner Shuttle accepting new reservations June 1
SALISBURY, Md. – The BayRunner Shuttle is reopening on June 1st but the owners believe they’ll suffer a financial loss for a little while before travel picks up to a normal level.
BayRunner tells 47 ABC they’re ramping up their cleaning procedures as well as requiring drivers and passengers wear masks. They’ll also be limiting capacity of their vans to practice social distancing. They say they are anxious to see how this summer plays out because it’s hard to predict how people will approach traveling to and from the Baltimore area moving forward.
“We’re down about 90 percent. We’ve been closed since March 23rd but we have in the last two or three weeks seen a big uptick in people calling saying ‘Hey are you open? I need to get to the airport.’ We think we’ve picked the right time to reopen, we hope we have,” says Caroline Presburg, the vice president of BayRunner Shuttle.
BayRunner says most people book for same day travel but they’re only accepting reservations starting June 1st. You can make those reservations over the phone at 410-912-6000 or online at BayRunnerShuttle.com.
