YMCA and MD Food Bank partnering for food drive next week

SALISBURY, Md.- The Richard A. Henson Family YMCA is partnering with the Maryland Food Bank to feed the Salisbury community.

Due to a lack of resources, the food bank is struggling to get food to the needy, so the YMCA is pitching in to help.

Together,  the food bank and the YMCA will hold a food drive next Monday and Tuesday.

We are told that in times like this it’s important to work together to help those who need it most.

“I think it’s huge that everyone feels the connection and I think that’s one thing hopefully out of all this we realize how much we need each other and we count on each other, Deanna Harrell, Group Executive for YMCA of Chesapeake, said.

You can drop-off food at the back of the Richard A. Henson YMCA parking lot on Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

They’re accepting canned goods and non-perishables.
