Two arrested in string of alleged home burglaries

MAGNOLIA, Del. – Two people are facing charges after police say they were involved in a string of burglaries in Magnolia.

30-year-old Chad Chapek and his 29-year-old girlfriend Rebecca Lonski are now facing charges that include burglary of the third degree and criminal trespass.

Police say the investigation started back in March after several thefts and burglaries were reported from homes under construction in the neighborhood of Chestnut Ridge.

Police say at every burglary, they were able to identify a dark colored truck with loud exhausts.

When police later saw that vehicle at a home under construction, that’s when they found Chapek and Lonski.

Both were arraigned and released on their own recognizance.
