Two additional positive COVID-19 cases confirmed in Caroline Co.

Corona 2

CAROLINE CO., Md. – Health officials in Caroline County say two additional positive cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the county.

We’re told one case involves a male in his 50s, and the other involves a female in her 30s. Officials say these two cases are related, however, contact tracing has shown that all previous cases have been unrelated.

This brings the county’s total number of positive cases to 9.

Officials also say that the Maryland Department of Health has determined that local health departments will stop doing contact tracing for each positive case once a county reaches 10 cases. This will allow for the local health department to focus staff time and resources on preparing to address outbreaks and provide greater support to long-term care facilities, group homes, and other similar facilities.
