Second confirmed COVID-19 case announced in Dorchester Co.

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – The Dorchester County Health Department has announced that a second case of coronavirus has been confirmed in the county.

We’re told the individual is a female in her 70s, and is currently hospitalized with underlying health conditions.

The health department is working to identify contacts and advise them of any necessary actions to take.

Local contact tracing for Dorchester’s first confirmed case, a male in his 50s, has concluded. Officials say the man is self-isolating at home and no risk to the public has been identified.
