Salisbury University holds virtual Relay for Life amid coronavirus pandemic

SALISBURY, Md. – Each year, Relay for Life at Salisbury University raises a lot of money for the American Cancer Society, and this year they are not letting coronavirus stop them.

Instead of in-person events this year, the organization has gone virtual. They are still raising money for cancer research and encouraging the entire community to get involved as well.

Lori DeWitt, who is an associate professor at the University, says if anything, the coronavirus has shown us all that it’s more important than ever to band together and help one another out.
