Salisbury man arrested for destroying items on apartment complex property
SALISBURY, Md. – Police say a Salisbury man was arrested Thursday evening after he destroyed multiple pieces of property on his apartment complex property.
At around 5 p.m., a deputy responded to a residential complex in the 1500 block of Riverside Drive for a reported littering. On arrival, it was learned that a resident, identified as 38-year-old Alan Banks III, was seen dumping a broken television behind a guard rail at the edge of the property. Banks was located and issued a criminal citation for littering.
A short time later, the deputy learned that Banks was destroying property belonging to the apartment complex, including an emergency flood light, a window, a television, security camera, and a fireplace. During the ruckus, Banks also activated the fire alarm for the building.
Banks was arrested and charged with malicious destruction of property and false report of a fire alarm. He was later released on personal recognizance.
