RIVERDALE, Md. – A 22,000 member online group called Reopen Maryland will be holding a road rally procession across the state. Members say this is all in an effort to urge officials to restore education, commerce, and religious practices in the state. The rally will begin in Frederick Maryland at the Francis Scott Key Mall and will end at the Center at Salisbury. The vehicle demonstration will feature speeches by Delegates Dan Cox and Warren Miller and Congressman Andy Harris. According to Reopen Maryland co-founder Tim Walters, he says they had as many as 500 vehicles in their Annapolis rally that was held back on April 18th, and he hopes to have much more this weekend. The driving route will follow I-70 onto 695 to 97 to Route 50, across the Bay Bridge, and down to Salisbury.
Congressman Andy Harris says, “Enthusiasm is building for these and other events. People are ready to live their lives again while ensuring that the vulnerable are properly protected.” The event begins with a kickoff speech by Delegate Cox at 9:45 AM.
