Radio stations across the country raising money for Feeding America

DELMARVA- A Delmarva radio station is teaming up with 8,000 other stations across the country to put food on the table for families.

Adams Radio Group of Delmarva will broadcast the “Radio Cares: Feeding America Emergency Radiothon,” a one- day fundraising event that will be held Thursday.

The event will benefit Feeding America, the largest hunger relief organization in the United States.

Raised funds will be distributed to 2oo food banks.

We are told because the need for food has increased because of COVID-19 the need to give food is important.

“We’re into the community, we wanna help the community, we wanna help change lives, we wanna help people get back on track, this is gonna pass,” Johnette Cochran, General Manager of Adams Radio of Delmarva, said.

The radiothon will happen Thursday from 6 AM to 6 PM.
