Public Catholic Masses canceled in Delaware, Eastern Shore of Maryland until further notice
WILMINGTON, Del. – Bishop Francis Malooly announced on Friday that all public Masses, confessions, prayer services, marriages, baptisms, funerals, etc. in the Diocese of Wilmington are canceled until further notice.
We’re told the only sacraments that will be offered by priests of the diocese will be in case of danger or death.
This is out of an abundance of caution and to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
In addition, the Diocese of Wilmington will close all school buildings for the remainder of the school year in both Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Distance learning for students will continue through the end of the academic term.
More information, including an online Sunday Mass from Wilmington’s Cathedral of Saint Peter, can be found here.
