Police: wanted Willards man arrested in Salisbury
SALISBURY, Md. – Police say a wanted Willards man was taken into custody at a residence in Salisbury Saturday evening.
At around 8:30 p.m., deputies responded to a residence in the 6000 block of Zion Church Road to locate a wanted subject, identified as 25-year-old Dylan Hartman. Hartman was wanted on a bench warrant that was issued after he violated the terms of his pre-trial release in a case where he violated the terms of his probation after already being convicted of second degree assault and violation of a protective order. In addition, there was an arrest warrant issued for Hartman after he disconnected his electronic monitoring device.
When deputies arrived, Hartman reportedly ran out of a rear door into the doors. Police attempted to locate Hartman, but were initially unsuccessful, so the deputies remained in the vicinity waiting for Hartman to return.
About two hours later, Hartman returned to the residence and was taken into custody, even as he tried to run away again. He was charged with second degree escape and violation of pre-trial release and was held without bond.
