Police searching for gunman in Salisbury murder

SALISBURY, Md. – Police in Wicomico County are searching for the gunman that they say shot and killed a man in Salisbury on Friday night.

Police say just before 11:00 p.m. on Friday, 33-year-old Dondre Wilson was shot and killed near an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Adams Avenue. Police say Wilson’s body was found in a vehicle, that apparently crashed into a parked car before coming to rest in a wooded area near the road.

Preliminary investigation shows that Wilson was apparently driving to a nearby apartment complex to bring food to a family member. Police say they believe there were multiple people in the vehicle at the time of the shooting, but no suspect description is known. Now, police are interviewing witnesses and residents of that apartment complex.

The Maryland State Police homicide unit is also helping in the investigation. Anyone with information about this murder is urged to contact Maryland State Police at the Salisbury Barrack at 410-749-3101, or Crime Solvers of the Lower Eastern Shore at 410-548-1776.  Callers may remain anonymous.
