Ocean Pines Yacht Club helping laid-off employees

OCEAN PINES, Md.- The Ocean Pines Yacht Club is pulling their weight to help employees they had to lay-off.

Right now, The club is still taking delivery orders for food.

They are donating 100% of the tips made from those deliveries to the hourly employees who were laid off.

On top of that, the club is offering $40 dollar meals to families during this time.

“To be able to have them give to our employees, in the mean time we’re also giving back to them with the family meals and just the community has gotten help each other in any way they can, especially right now I mean it’s not going to be the federal government that’s going to save us, it’s going to be one another,” Thomas Steele, Manager with Mattortt Companies, said.

We are told that the club will offer this service for as long as they can, but they hope to have employees back on board soon.
