Milton music shop owners hosting virtual COVID-19 benefit concert
MILTON, Del. – A husband and wife who own a music shop in Milton are doing what they can to support their town’s COVID-19 Relief Fund.
The owners of Frantic Frets Music and Antiques are hosting a virtual benefit concert scheduled for Friday, May 1st from 6 pm to 9 pm. There’s no fee to watch the live music show on Facebook live but viewers are encouraged to donate to the Milton Community Foundation’s Go Fund Me Page.
Al and Mary Knight tell 47 ABC they wanted to do something to make people happy while also helping the place they call home. “Music is a universal language. All the cliches, it’s true. It can take you away for a few minutes, make a statement. While we’re playing we hope not to touch too much on the coronavirus. Just positivity.”
The Milton Community Foundation has already raised almost three-thousand dollars for its COVID-19 relief fund with a goal of ten-thousand dollars. The money will be used to support different civic, business and religious groups in Milton impacted by this pandemic.
