Milton Community Foundation launches effort to help families in need

MILTON, Del. – The Milton Community Foundation is stepping up to the plate to help feed families in need during the coronavirus pandemic.

The foundation is giving out 75 dollar Food Lion gift cards to as many people as possible.

We’re told the community has already helped raise more than 10,000 dollars for this effort.

With Sussex County being recognized as a coronavirus hot spot we’re told now more than ever is the time to help out those in need.

“We felt like we wanted to try to do something to help people and quite a few people, you know, the coronavirus, it’s very, very high numbers in Delaware, especially Sussex County,” said John Potocki, vice president at the Milton Community Foundation.

The Milton Community Foundation is asking for donations to continue helping families with gift cards.
