Meal Train helping feed Bayhealth employees

DELAWARE – If you’re looking to help those on the front lines of COVID-19, you can now feed employees at Delaware’s two Bayhealth Hospitals through an organization called Meal Train.

Bayhealth says they’re in need of about 30 meals per shift at both their Kent and Sussex hospital locations. However, they’re only accepting packaged food from professional and licensed restaurants or grocery stores. You can sign up to donate meals, bottled water or snacks through the Bayhealth profiles on the Meal Train website. Organizers say their staff is extremely busy and this will help because they don’t always have time to grab something to eat in the cafeteria.

“So to have that food on the floors for the doctors, the nurses, the cleaning crew, all of those Bayhealth team members, it means the world to them and it also shows them the community is behind them which is just a wonderful bonus to that,” says Carrie Hart, Health & Wellness Section Leader at Bayhealth.
