Salisbury, Md. – While it seems like a lot of areas of life are on hold during the Coronavirus pandemic, one thing not on hold is construction in downtown Salisbury.

Mayor Jake Day says, if anything, projects are ahead of schedule.

Mayor Day tells 47 ABC that work continues on the downtown plaza nearly every day, because it’s one area of work where crews are still able to work during the pandemic.

He says with fewer cars on the road, construction has been moving steadily along Fitzwater Street and the downtown roundabout as well.

Mayor Day says, while it can be a headache, the construction in the city is actually a good thing as it keeps the city moving forward.
