POLICE: Man killed, son charged with second degree murder

CHINCOTEAGUE, VA – Chincoteague Police say a 70-year-old man was shot and killed inside a home on Thursday.

Police say the shooting happened on School Road at around 8:15 a.m.

When police arrived on the scene, they say they found the body of 70-year-old Thomas Watson Sr.

An investigation into the incident led to the arrest of Watson’s son, Thomas Watson Jr. He’s charged with second-degree murder and is currently being held in the Eastern Shore Regional Jail.
