Four additional COVID-19 related deaths announced in Del.
SMYRNA, Del. – Officials in Delaware announced the addition of 93 new positive cases of coronavirus, as well as four deaths, Thursday evening.
The most recent deaths include an 82-year-old New Castle County man, 63-year-old New Castle County woman, 66-year-old Sussex County man, and 57-year-old Sussex County man. We’re told all four had underlying health conditions, and the New Castle County man was a long-term care resident.
To date, a total of 23 Delawareans have passed away from complications of the coronavirus.
Officials also announced the addition of 93 new cases, bringing the state’s total to 1,209. 701 of those cases are in New Castle County, 214 in Kent, and 294 in Sussex.
A total of 201 are currently hospitalized, 43 of whom are critically ill. In addition, 173 have fully recovered from the virus.
