Fight leads to weapon displayed, three arrested

MAGNOLIA, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested three men Monday night after an argument led to the display of a firearm.

Shortly before 11 p.m., troopers were called to a residence in the 300 block of Millchop Lane for a group of disorderly subjects. It was learned that the subjects had shown up to the residence and made contact with a 58-year-old male and 29-year-old male resident in reference to an ongoing dispute.

During the argument, police say 20-year-old Tyriekus Collick pulled a gun out of his waistband and handed it to 43-year-old Desmond Robinson. Robinson then reportedly pointed the weapon at both victims.

Prior to arriving on scene, troopers were advised that the suspects were trying to leave the area in a blue passenger car. Trooper saw the vehicle in the area driving at a high rate of speed and failing to stop at a posted stop sign. Troopers stopped the vehicle and made contact with Collick and Robinson, as well as 20-year-old Desmond Johnson. During the stop, Collick was found in possession of a loaded firearm and 19 additional rounds of ammunition. All three were subsequently arrested.

Robinson was charged with possession of a firearm/destructive weapon by person convicted of two violent felonies, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, two counts of aggravated menacing, second degree conspiracy, failure to obey a traffic device, and driving vehicle at unreasonable or imprudent speed. He was held at SCI on $17,502 secured bond.

Collick was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, two counts of aggravated menacing, and second degree conspiracy. He was held at SCI on $19,500 secured bond.

Johnson was charged with second degree conspiracy and released on his own recognizance.
