Dorchester County announces first COVID-19 related death

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – The Dorchester County Health Department announced the county’s first death as a result of COVID-19.
According to officials, the resident was in her 60s and she was hospitalized with no underlying medical conditions.
“We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of one of our residents,” says Deputy Health Officer Dr. Casey Scott.
“Unfortunately, this highlights the seriousness of this virus, and the grimness of our current situation. Please keep the deceased and her family in your thoughts and prayers,” says Scott.
To date, Dorchester County has a total of 12 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
