Dorchester Co. Schools name Teacher of the Year, First-Class Teacher of the Year recipients
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Dorchester County Schools have announced their Teacher of the Year and First-Class Teacher of the Year.
Superintendent David Bromwell congratulated Cherie Robinson, a 30-year teaching veteran, and Hannah Abt, a Pre-Kindergarten teacher at Choptank Elementary School. Robinson teaches 11th and 12th grade students who aspire to be teachers, while Abt took on the title of First-Class Teacher of the Year after just one year in the classroom.
We’re told rewards for both titles come from local business donations and contributions, including the free use of a car for the year from the Hertrich Family of Automobile dealerships.
