Del. officials announce two more deaths, 165 new COVID-19 cases in state

SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health says that as of Monday afternoon, two more Delawareans had died from complications of the coronavirus.

We’re told that both individuals, an 83-year-old Sussex County woman, and 70-year-old Kent County woman, had underlying health conditions. To date, 43 people have died from the virus in the state.

DPH also announced the addition of 165 positive cases in the state, bringing the total to 1,926. 947 of these cases are in New Castle County, 329 in Kent, and 639 in Sussex. 11 cases have an unknown location.

At this time, 217 people are hospitalized, 45 of whom are critically ill. 319 individuals have made a full recovery.
