Closure of Del. state courts extended to May 14th
DOVER, Del. – Delaware’s chief justice has extended a ban on public access to all state court facilities for another month.
On Tuesday, Chief Justice Collins J. Seitz Jr. extended the judicial emergency, originally declared on March 14th, to May 14th. This comes after Governor John Carney extended the State of Emergency last week.
As of Tuesday, the state had more than 1,740 reported cases of coronavirus, with 41 deaths, and 200 hospitalized. Officials say these numbers are less than half of the number predicted last week.
