City of Seaford trying to lift high school seniors’ spirits with special signs

SEAFORD, Del. – People in Seaford are launching an effort to lift the spirits of high school seniors, but they need your help.
We’re told teachers, city leaders and a local photographer and producer are working to get these yard signs outside with pictures of high school seniors on them to help celebrate the class of 2020 and all their accomplishments.
But here’s the thing they need 1,500 dollars to get the job done.
Organizers say they already have gotten more than half of the funding they need to do this.
“We have a community that’s willing to get behind them and say hey, we feel your pain, but we also want to highlight and celebrate you for your accomplishments of graduating and being class of 2020,” said Jeffrey T. Benson Jr., a Seaford resident.
According to Benson Jr., the yard signs should be going out into the community sometime next month.
