Brother and sister arrested on drug charges in Harrington

HARRINGTON, Del. – Harrington Police arrested a brother and sister duo Thursday morning on multiple drug charges.

Shortly before 11:30 a.m., officers on patrol were called to the parking lot of the Super 8 Motel on South DuPont Highway for a report of two subjects in a vehicle who possibly overdosed. On arrival, police contacted the driver, 27-year-old Sara Ryder and the passenger, 25-year-old William Ryder. While speaking with Sara, officers observed several baggies of heroin she had in her hand.

A subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted, resulting in the discovery of 48.3 grams of K2 (synthetic marijuana) and drug paraphernalia.

Both were arrested and charged with manufacture, deliver, or possess with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released on their own recognizance pending a future court date.
