80 new cases, 7 new COVID-19 related deaths announced in Delaware
SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health is reporting 80 new COVID-19 cases in the state, along with seven additional deaths.
The most recent deaths involve individuals aged 63 to 87, six of whom reportedly had underlying health conditions. Two were New Castle County residents, two were Kent County residents, and three were Sussex County residents.
To date, 144 Delawareans have passed away from complications of the virus.
As of 6 p.m. Tuesday, Delaware had a total of 4,655 confirmed cases, with more than 2,000 in Sussex County, just over 1,700 in New Castle, and 743 in Kent.
326 individuals are currently hospitalized, 60 of whom are critically ill. A total of 1,173 Delawareans have made a fully recovery.
