7 new COVID-19 related deaths reported in Delaware, with additional 269 cases

SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health says that seven more people have died as a result of the coronavirus in Delaware.

Officials say six of the seven individuals had underlying health conditions and ranged in age from 50 to 88 years old. Three were Sussex County residents, two Kent County residents, and two New Castle County residents.

269 additional positive cases have been confirmed in the state, bringing the total to 3,200. 1,352 cases are in New Castle, with 503 in Kent, and 1,317 in Sussex County. 28 cases have an unknown location.

A total of 269 individuals are currently hospitalized, 69 of whom are critically ill. Nearly 600 Delawareans have made a full recovery from the virus.
