Trey M. Bowden

FELTON, Del. – A 19-year-old is facing attempted murder charges after police say he shot at his friend’s car early Friday morning.

Police say they responded to a store on Dupont Highway in Felton at around 2:47 on Friday morning for reports of a shooting.

They say the investigation revealed that a 17-year-old female was with her mother’s 26-year-old boyfriend at the store when 19-year-old Trey Bowden arrived.

The two men allegedly got into an argument before the victims left in their vehicle. Police say Bowden then fired shots at the driver’s side door, then fled the scene.

Neither victim was injured. Bowden now faces charges that include attempted first degree murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
