Westlake shocks Parkside, denies Rams a spot in 2A Final Four

SALISBURY, Md. – Despite the best efforts of Jackie Wright and Amanda Ballard, the top-seeded Parkside Rams were upset by Westlake, 57-54, Friday night in Salisbury.

Taylor Brown and Briyah Hoggins led the way for Westlake with 13 points, and the 8-seed in the 2A tournament held a 3-point advantage in the final ten seconds.

Wright got an open look from behind the arc, but her shot hit off the back iron.

Wright led the way with 28 points, Ballard added 19 points.
