Weather Tidbits: Fronts

Today’s Weather Tidbits focused on fronts. The two most heavily focused were the differences between warm and cold fronts. Cold fronts are faster & steeper moving, bringing heavier precipitaion and storms. Warm fronts however, tend to be slower moving with a wedge and bring typically lighter precipitation. Also included in today’s segment are stationary fronts, in which neither warm or cold air overtakes the other; and occluded fronts which are fronts that overtake another front, commonly a cold overtakes a warm.
